Oxyclean or douce it with lots of club soda water and soak up the stain and the soda with salt.

Also, a relatively new product named "Spot Shot." Seems to have the ability to remove fresh or old wine stains and also any other kind of carpet stain. It probably works on clothes, too. Just follow directions on the spray can.

Oxyclean!! Red wine is on the list of like four things that it'll take out, but it does a fine job.

Vinegar is the best option and cheapest one two, Just dilute vinegar with warm water, add a little washing powder and rub it over the stain. Repeat two-three times and then wash off. The stain wont be there any more hopefully.

getting rid of red wine stains is not difficult....wash it and then combine pretreatment and 1 cup hydrogen peroxide in a small bowl and then dip cloth and wash it.........
