the UK? Does anybody have any advice on starting a wine importing and wholesale business in the UK?

I have a couple of associates who produce fine wine in South America.

I'm very interested in importing their product to the UK and distributing it throughout the UK gto restaurants, fine wine sellers and also direct to members of the public.

Does anybody involved in the business have any advice?

If i was you i'd wait a couple of years. We have friends who have wine businesses and they aren't doing at all well right now. The supermarkets are getting most of the sales this year. Wait until the recession is over, there should be plenty of bargains then in business premises etc.
