Default California wines are good

I like them too, I read some reviews on Calif wine on www.pocketsommelier.blogspot.com recently. The website recommended Concannon Petite Sirah. I bought a bottle and shared it with my neighbour, it was pretty impressive, and under $20.

That is a great deal! Have you been to Napa RogerMoore? An incredible Napa signature red wine is the Insignia Napa Valley 2002 by Joseph Phelps. It was awarded the #1 wine of the year by wine spectator. I definitely recommend picking up a bottle.

I haven't been to Napa yet, but it's certainly on my dream list. As for the Joseph Phelps, I've heard of it, but sadly I haven't had the pleasure. Are you into Zin at all? Any favs? I've had alot of those.

Zinfandel is a fantastic wine! They go great with pretty much any italian dish. Something else that is great about Zins are that they are of great value. You can find a lot of great Zinfandels under $20. A couple Zins that I truly enjoy are the Rosenblum Dry Creek Valley Rockpile Road and the Seghesio Sonoma. The Sonoma is extremely cheap as well. Are you into Cabernet Sauvignon at all?
