Default is it ok to take white wine out of a recipe?

i found a nice shrimppasta recipe, except it calls for a cup of white wine;
would it be okay if i took the white wine out?

thanks a bunch!

yes, however the white wine is usually there for flavor and de-glazing, all the alcohol cooks off, you would be missing a staple but just use another liquid that would go with the recipe, apple juice works fine.
