Default pubbing/clubbing: how do u order white wine?

how do u order white wine at pubs/clubs? do u have to ask for a specific brand/year? i bet u don't say, "a glass of white wine, pls?!" =P

Ask what white wines they have. I love German wine like reisling. But ask the waiter for a suggestion.

It depends on how you want to be perceived. Of course you can ask for the house white (if there is one) or you can be pretentious and ask for a specific kind, like Gewürtztraminer (really good, BTW.) Since you are asking this question I assume you don´t know that much about wine, so keep it simple and honest and just ask for a glass of white wine. If you are offered a choice, unless you DO know what you like, choose a French or German white, not too old, one year is enough for most white wines, it should be served chilled unless it is an extraordinary white. if you are adventurous you could do the first one.....if you are just too tired with all the crabs.....then the easier one is....."A glass of white wine doh!"

Yes you can ask for a glass of white wine or to make it sound better ask for chardonnay.
