Default A red wine for Italian dishes?

I don't like dry wines and would like to find a good red wine that would go well with Italian dishes.

It depends on whether the dish is Northernor Southern Italian. If you are eating a Southern Italian dish (typically characterized by tomato sauce), Chianti is a good option, but chianti may not go well with Northern Italian white sauces. If you want a red wine to match this, I recommend Beajolais Nouveau (It is the the season right now).

A great red wine that works with Italian dishes would be a Chianti. Its strong acidity works with the acidity in tomatoes. It also contrasts very well with the richer ingredients such as cheese and olive oil.

Wink

Italian dishes that are tomato-based and spicy will go well with Zinfandel, Primitivo or other varietals that offer strength, fruit and a solid finish.

Tender pasta , Provolone cheese, and sundried tomatoes paired with flavorful Italian salami and pepperoni for a spicy zing, crunchy red onions and peppers, black olives, fresh parsley and freshly grated Parmesan cheese all tossed in a delicious red wine vinaigrette!

I too would agree with you as, Chianti Classico red wine is prefect and it gives prefect blend of taste with pork and pasta dishes.

you can find some beer imported wines here-

Fine think. really the red wine go well with the italian dishes especially when served with pasta and it compliments the most when served with red red regatta.
