Red face Red wine recommendation for Sangria

Hello,
I am asking for red wine recommendations for sangria for my wedding. I consider myself a newbie wine drinker. I personally prefer fruitier wines.

We are serving regular red wine which is 2007 J. Lohr Cabernet Sauvignon Seven Oaks ($10.95 per bottle). I imagine the red wine for the sangria doesn't have to be a good quality wine?

I would like some names in the price range of $6 - $13 per bottle
and recipes if you have any without hard liquor.

Thanks.

An inexpensive Rioja or a Borsao would work perfectly in a Sangria recipe. Hope this helps, let me know how it works out for you!?

I think if you had come out openly when you first found out you were pregnant and said that you wouldnt be drinking people would respect your decision. The fact that you have heavily restricted your diet, and continued to drink to 7 months pregnant means your baby is at risk of malnutrition, foetal alcohol syndrome, and could be born prematurely. When you are pregnant your priority should be ensuring you have a healthy pregnancy and making sure the baby comes first, not some outdated etiquette.

Congratulations!

I just want to ask a few things:

What kinds of recipes? For wine or cocktails?

If for wine, I am giving away some free wine ebooks with fantastic recipes to choose from.

If you have a particular kind in mine, let me know.

Cheers!

Ice
The juice of six limes
Orange slices
Diced fruit (apple, pear, peach, etc)
1/3 cup of sugar syrup
1 bottle of red wine
750 ml club soda

Stir and taste, add more sugar syrup if desired. Is really easy and works, if you like it sweeter add half club soda half lemon-lime soda
