HOT MULLED WINE

1 1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 lemon, sliced
3 sticks cinnamon
3 whole cloves
1 lg. bottle Burgundy, Claret or other red inner wine
Nutmeg

Combine boiling water, sugar, lemon, cinnamon and cloves; stir until sugar dissolves. Add wine; simmer 20 minutes. (DO NOT BOIL!) Strain. Serve hot with a sprinkling of nutmeg.
Makes 12 servings, 3 ounce size.

1 bottle of sprite
2 bottles white wine
2 bottles red wine (can be any old cheap wine)
2 cans sweet cider (magners or woodpecker)
6 or 8 shots brandy or more to taste
cinamon stick
1 orange sliced with cloves stuck in each slice
1 lemon sliced with cloves

Warm it up but dont let it boil cos that kills the alcohol

Enjoy!!

The only thing I can think of is something that I have done myself. I bought a bottle of sweet wine, and a box of mulling sachets (much like tea bags). All you do is warm the wine and put the sachet in it for a little wine. I'm not sure where you would buy the sachets, but I imagine they would be available in good supermarkets and speciality stores. I got mine from natural foods store, so maybe try that. I hope that helps.
